Terms of service

The agreement between you and us when you use BackSoon. Written to be readable — if anything is unclear, just ask.

Last updated: 2026-08-11

Who you are contracting with

BackSoon is operated by Melrox BV, trading as Melrox, Maldersesteenweg 11, 1840 Londerzeel, Belgium, company number (KBO/BCE) BE 0759.572.158. Contact: yannick@melrox.be.

What the service does

You enter your holiday closing dates once. BackSoon turns them into an announcement and publishes it to the channels you connected — your website banner, your Facebook Page and your Instagram business account — plus a public status page for your business.

The service is for businesses. It is not intended for consumers and not for anyone under 18.

Your account

You sign in with Google. You are responsible for keeping access to that Google account secure, and for anything done through your BackSoon account.

You are responsible for what you publish

We publish the dates and text you give us. We do not check them. If the dates are wrong, the closing period changes, or the message contains a mistake, that is yours to correct — and your customers will see whatever was published. Please read the preview before you publish.

You confirm you are entitled to publish on the Facebook Page and Instagram account you connect.

Pricing

Pricing is per holiday period you publish. Creating an account, saving drafts and connecting channels are free. You pay per holiday period at the moment you publish it, at the price shown before you confirm. Payment is handled by Stripe.

Prices are shown including or excluding VAT as indicated at checkout. Because publishing is performed immediately at your request, a published holiday period cannot be refunded once it has gone out. If publishing fails on our side, you are not charged for that attempt, or we refund it.

We publish only when you tell us to

Nothing is posted automatically. Every post to Facebook or Instagram happens because you pressed publish for a specific holiday period. Retrying a failed channel is also your action.

We depend on other platforms

Facebook, Instagram and Google are outside our control. Their APIs can change, rate-limit, reject a post, or go down; a connection can expire and need to be re-authorised; a platform can restrict or remove your account. We cannot guarantee that a post will reach a platform, or that a platform's API is available.

We show you the result per channel so you always know what worked and what did not, and you can retry or publish manually.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running but we do not promise a specific uptime. We may take it down briefly for maintenance or updates.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability towards you is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the event. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost turnover, lost customers, or reputational harm caused by a post that failed, was delayed, or contained information you supplied.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Belgian law, including for fraud or intentional fault.

Ending the agreement

You can stop at any time: disconnect your channels and delete your account. See the data deletion page. There is no notice period and no subscription to cancel, since you pay per holiday.

We can suspend or close an account that abuses the service, breaks these terms, breaks a platform's rules, or does not pay. Where reasonable we will tell you first.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The "last updated" date at the top changes and, for significant changes, we will email you. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new version.

Governing law

Belgian law applies. Disputes go to the courts competent for our registered office in Belgium.

This document was drafted as a starting point and reviewed by the operator of this service, not by legal counsel.
